Improving Teachers’ in-service training in Higher Education in Peru was a development project, that was carried out in cooperation with the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, PUCP) and University of Helsinki. The goal of the project was to contribute to the quality of teacher training in higher education by strengthening the pedagogical efficiency of the in-service training system in universities. The main objective of the project was to implement a national pilot for the teachers’ research based lifelong learning in developing methodologically and pedagogically sustainable teacher education in geographically remote universities. The project aimed at empowerment of educators of all levels with a special attention to the learning outcomes of children among indigenous people. The project was completed in March 2016.
