The Responsibility and AI in Organizations study module consists of elective 1 cr modules. By combining these modules, you will explore both the basics and specific issues of AI regulation and corporate responsibility. This module provides the necessary knowledge on AI regulation and responsibility required in the current operational environment.
The training is part of a pilot project for worklife oriented micro-credentials, funded by the Service Center for Continuous Learning and Employment
Benefits and Goals
As a participant, you will gain tools to manage the complex regulatory framework and apply your knowledge in your work and organization:
- After the training, you will be familiar with the regulatory framework and fundamental concepts of AI and responsibility, understand the opportunities and risks of AI and responsibility, and be able to apply what you have learned in your work and organization.
- You will also recognize connections to research in the field and be able to utilize these connections in your work and skill development.
- You will receive a certificate for the 5 cr training module from the Faculty of Law at the University of Helsinki.
Target Audience
The training is designed for professionals whose work involves themes of AI and/or responsibility now or in the near future. The training can be tailored to the participant’s needs, regardless of industry or prior knowledge.
Content and Schedule The Responsibility and AI in Organizations (5 cr) training program consists of five elective modules.
Modules (choose 5):
- Fundamentals of AI Act (1 cr), online meetings on February 11 (13:00−15:00), February 12 (13:00−15:00), and March 4, 2025 (13:00−15:00).
- Sustainable Business Law and Corporate Responsibility Basics (1 cr), hybrid meeting on March 11 (13:00−15:00), and online meetings on March 18 (13:00−15:00), March 25 (13:00−15:00), and March 31, 2025 (13:00−15:00).
- AI Liability (1 cr), May-June 2025.
- AI Compliance (1 cr), Fall 2025.
- AI & Law in Context: From Marketing to HR (1 cr), Fall 2025.
- Law, AI, and Sustainability in Context (1 cr), Fall 2025.
The training has been funded by the Service Centre for Continuous Learning and Employment. The Service Centre promotes the competence development of working-age people and the availability of skilled labour. The operations of the Service Centre are overseen by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.
