Lahti was the European Green Capital for 2021. As part of the European Green Capital year, we have developed an introductory course in collaboration with university stakeholders in the field of environment and sustainable development in the Lahti region. The course is also available in Finnish.

This multidisciplinary initiative brings together environmental and sustainable development expertise in the Lahti region and opens up broad perspectives and understanding of environmental issues.

The online learning package offers perspectives on issues and research in the field, and includes presentations by experts, assignments and additional materials. The course can be completed as a stand-alone course, after which participants can continue with open course offerings in the same field to deepen what they have learned about the environment.
